SSC conducted Combined graduate level examination Tier 1 2013 on 21 April’2013 in Morning and afternoon shifts at various centers across India.
Tier 1 Exam 1 to be held on 14th April was postponed and will now be held on 19 MAy’2013.
More than 5 lakhs candidates appeared for Tier 1 and almost 15% didn’t appeared for the examination.
In General awareness section, static portion (History,Geog,polity,Science..etc) given more weightage than trivial current affairs.
In Aptitude section, less number of conventional questions and more importance to trigonometry,geometry and DI.Roughly 2/3rd of the Maths questions are from Geometry, trigonometry, algebra and Data interpretation.
In Reasoning section, SSC increased the number of non-verbal questions compared to previous years though difficulty level was almost same.
In English section, pattern and difficulty level of questions were similar to previous years.
Cut off will mainly depend on following factors
- No of candidates
- No of vacancies
- Difficulty of paper
Keeping in view large no of candidates appearing for exam this time and large no of vacancies and the difficulty level of General awareness section, we have prepared expected cut off range.
Expected cut off range will be
- General 82-87
- OBC 68-72
- SC 60-65
- ST 58-63
Candidates expecting score in this score range should start their preparation for tier 2.

Its not too much as there is very stiff competition for this post.
Its a safe score…irrespective of interview score coz i don’t know how you will perform in interview.
