IBPS CWE PO/MT-II How to fill bank preference to get selection???

  • The major problem while filling the preferences candidates will face is that IBPS have not announced ranks of the selected candidates. And it is very difficult to give preference without having an idea about our ranks. But yes the score range can definitely be used to opt for the right bank.
  • After thorough analysis our experts have prepared a chart displaying score range, various tiers of banks and vacancies in respective tiers. Candidates falling in given score range may give preference to following banks.

Tier

Score Range

Banks

General

Total

I

80-68

ECBC, PNB, IDBI, BOB

II

III

58-63

Total vacancy

11058

22415

  • Before filling your preference, analyze your rank accordingly analyze vacancies in your score range than give your preference.
  • General candidates have to be extra careful in filling the bank as though the vacancies are 22415 (for general 11058) but the reality differs for general.
  • For example, if a reserved candidate opts BOB,

Overall rank           2500

Category rank       2000

Suppose in BOB there is 1  vacancy for general and  10 vacancies for reserved.   then candidate will be considered for general seat.

Therefore general vacancy will get filled by reserved candidate while reserved seats will remain intact. So don’t think that 11,058 seats are entirely for general candidates.

  • Candidates can be divided into two categories higher ranked ones and lower ranked ones.Higher ranked candidates will get allocation in  tier 1-2 banks easily, fight will be between lower ranked candidates as some will get allocation in first list and some might get in waiting list.
  • Waiting list candidates will get allocation against those vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer.
  • Large number of candidates are concentrated in lower ranked group(50-60%), and there is a possibility that there might be more than one candidate having same score.
  • Lower ranked candidates must be realistic to get allocation in first list and should go for banks having higher vacancies first.
  • Although there is a possibility that few Tier 1 banks vacancies will be available for waiting list candidates (In case a higher ranked candidate rejects his offer in tier 1 bank) but  no of vacancies in such case will be very few and possibility of that is very low,so we can not count on that for selection.
  • Do not worry about the salary and perks as most PSU banks offer more or less the same salary structure, important thing for a candidate is that he must get a job in region of his preference.
  • Banks are usually concentrated in a particular region and so candidates should give higher preference to banks concentrated in their region.
  • There are several sites which claim to provide exact rank but they are not reliable. According to our IBPS experts there is no method to calculate ranks without having complete data (which is withheld with IBPS), only exact range of ranks can be predicted and not exact rank.

  • So now we know approximate number of candidates in a particular score range. Also, we know number of vacancies in each tier of banks, and accordingly we can assume how the banks get filled and what are our chances in a particular bank.
  • You can put the banks in any order on your priority list regardless of your score. Its NOT like that if you selected PNB as your top priority, and all the PNB posts are filled before you being considered then you will not be considered for other banks. In fact most of the candidates dont know where they would be landing. The allotment process goes as if you dont selected for high priority bank, the next lower in priority bank is checked till the last one in the list or the process ends when you get one post.Just carefully make the priority list based on location/bank reputation/ growth considerations.
  • Friends, remember our data is computed after thorough analysis by IBPS experts. It might have slight deviation from actual results.
  • Suggestions are invited.
